Bringing Fans Together Since 1977
Our Story
Archon is the Midwest's premier science fiction and fantasy convention, welcoming fans to the St. Louis area since 1977. For nearly five decades, we've brought together readers, writers, artists, costumers, gamers, and fans of all stripes to celebrate the genres we love.
What started as a gathering of local fans has grown into a regional convention attracting thousands of attendees each year. We're proud to maintain the welcoming, fan-run atmosphere that has defined Archon since the beginning.
Archon is staffed entirely by volunteer fans and operates as an institutional member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
Our Mission
To create an inclusive, welcoming space where fans of science fiction and fantasy can gather to celebrate their shared passions. We strive to offer diverse programming, support emerging creators, and foster a community that welcomes newcomers and longtime fans alike.
2025 Charity: Tenth Life Cat Rescue
This year, Archon is proud to support Tenth Life Cat Rescue, a local St. Louis organization providing veterinary care and adoption services for cats with special needs. Proceeds from our art show auction and other fundraising activities benefit this wonderful cause.
